WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE?
I love Elf! It’s so ridiculous and funny. I also love Miracle on 34th Street and Home Alone, which The Biggest has now also decided he loves.
WHERE DO YOU USUALLY SPEND YOUR HOLIDAY?
Before I had kids all over the place – but now it’s nice to be at home with the kids. We tend to split our time around all our families so it’s busy! I often host but this year its just the four of us for Christmas day and I am really looking forward to it. We have plans on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day with family though.
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR DREAM PLACE TO VISIT FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON?
I really want to do Orlando for one Christmas so I can be in Disney World, but I would also love to go to Lapland and stay in a log cabin.
DO YOU OPEN YOUR PRESENTS ON CHRISTMAS EVE OR CHRISTMAS MORNING?
Christmas Morning, although I was always allowed to open one on Christmas Eve when I was little.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS MEMORY?
I had a great Christmas with my friends in Ibiza one year, that was pretty good.
BE HONEST: DO YOU LIKE GIVING GIFTS OR RECEIVING GIFTS MORE?
Giving! I love planning and wrapping and seeing how excited the kids get when opening their presents.
FAVOURITE FESTIVE FOOD?
I am pretty partial to Christmas pudding with lashings of Bailey’s thick cream. And all of the cheese!
FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SCENTS?
Cinnamon! I loved spiced apple and mulled wine type scents. I love the Holiday range the American store Bath and Body Works sell, so Christmassy!
DO YOU HAVE ANY CHRISTMAS EVE TRADITIONS?
I always watch The Snowman by Raymond Briggs. I used to watch it with my Grandad when he was still alive and its something I have carried on doing and now do it with the boys. I always get a little emotional watching it too.
WHAT TOPS YOUR TREE?
I am totally extra and have two trees. Both are topped with a star, one silver and one red.
HAVE YOU EVER HAD A WHITE CHRISTMAS?
I remember having one when I was small. Many moons ago.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SONG?
I love Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses and Fairytale of New York by The Pogues. To be honest, I could go on. I love Christmas songs.
IS YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE REAL OR FAKE?
At the minute, fake. I would like a real one but our two trees are pretty good so for now we will keep them going for as long as we can!
ARE YOU A PROFESSIONAL PRESENT WRAPPER OR DO YOU FAIL MISERABLY?
I am pretty good to be fair, but my husband likes to get involved with wrapping. Otherwise he wouldn’t know what anyone was going to get till they opened it!
WHAT MAKES THE HOLIDAYS SPECIAL FOR YOU?
Spending time with my nearest and dearest, scoffing cheese, having a few cheeky drinks (or a lot!) and getting to have some festive fun.
